Surface Treatment for Durable and Reliable Magnetic Assemblies

We apply specialized surface treatment processes to enhance corrosion resistance, bonding strength, and long-term reliability of magnetic assemblies. Our capabilities include electroplating and conversion coatings (such as nickel plating and phosphating), epoxy coating, and parylene coating for high-performance and precision applications.

Epoxy Coating for Magnetic Assemblies

Epoxy resin coatings, mostly black, are commonly used on the surface of permanent magnets to provide protection and beautification. The treatment process includes cleaning, grinding, painting, and drying to ensure the quality of the coating. Epoxy resin can be applied over nickel plating or directly electrophoresed onto the magnet substrate to enhance corrosion resistance and appearance.

Magnets with epoxy resin treatment on the surface are mainly used in relatively strict fields such as elevators, compressors, electric motors, etc.

Electroplating for Magnetic Assemblies

Electroplating is a process that utilizes the principle of electrolysis to coat a thin layer of another metal or alloy onto the surface of certain metals. It’s a craft that applies an electrolytic action to adhere a metallic film onto the surface of metal or other material components, thereby achieving effects like preventing metal oxidation (such as rusting), enhancing wear resistance, electrical conductivity, reflectivity, corrosion resistance (against copper sulfate, etc.), and enhancing aesthetics.

Electroplating
01

Protects against corrosion from extreme temps, liquids, steam, maintaining magnetic field

02

Guards against damage from collisions during transport or use

03

Energy-efficient, eco-friendly, cost-effective, and easy

04

Enhances corrosion resistance and lifespan

05

Salt spray resistant for 24 to 96 hours

Parylene Coating for Magnetic Assemblies

Parylene is a protective high molecular material that can be deposited in a vacuum by vapor phase deposition. The good penetration of the active molecules of Parylene can form a transparent insulating coating without pinholes on the inside, bottom, and around the components, providing a complete high-quality protective coating for the components. It can resist the attack of acid, alkali, salt mist, mold, and various corrosive gases. Because Parylene is not a liquid, it will not accumulate during coating, and the active small molecules will “grow” a completely conformal polymer thin film coating on the substrate surface, which has performance advantages that are difficult to compare with other coatings.
