Compression Molded Magnets

Compression molded magnets are produced by mixing alloy magnetic powder and adhesive in accordance with the specified ratio, and then compressing the mixture through a mold. This process results in magnets with high dimensional accuracy and flexible magnetization modes.

Properties of High-Grade Magnets

Compression molded magnets are a class of bonded magnets manufactured by compacting magnetic powder with a polymer binder under high pressure. Compared with injection molded magnets, compression molding enables a higher magnetic powder loading, resulting in improved magnetic performance while maintaining good dimensional consistency and isotropic magnetic properties.

This technology is particularly well suited for bonded NdFeB and bonded ferrite magnets that require complex geometries, tight tolerances, and stable magnetic output. The lower processing temperature and uniform pressure distribution help reduce internal stress, minimize material degradation, and improve part integrity. In addition, compression molded magnets exhibit low eddy current loss and good corrosion resistance, making them suitable for applications operating under varying thermal and environmental conditions.

By optimizing material formulation and compaction parameters, compression molded magnets offer an effective balance between magnetic strength, mechanical reliability, and production efficiency. They are widely used in motors, sensors, automotive components, consumer electronics, and industrial systems where consistent performance and scalable manufacturing are critical.
