Research & Development for Custom Magnetic Assembly Solutions
Our R&D team specializes in developing custom magnetic assembly solutions based on real application requirements. Through application-driven research and engineering design, we transform customer specifications into manufacturable magnet assembly designs, ensuring optimal magnetic performance, structural integrity, and compliance with industry standards.
Raw Material Testing
HELOS/RODOS
- This equipment is used to test the particle size distribution of powder.
- Because we analyze more magnetic powder, there will be mutual attraction between them, normal particle diameter distribution instrument can’t separate the powder. The laser particle size analyzer can completely disperse powder of 0.1 micron and above into individual particles before measurement.
- The particle size of the powder affects many indexes of our materials (mechanics, filling rate, fluidity, etc.), so this equipment is commonly used.
VSM
The Vibrating Sample Magnetometer (VSM) is one of the most important equipments for measuring the magnetism of materials, and it is widely used in the study of magnetic properties of various ferromagnetic, ferrimagnetic, antiferromagnetic, paramagnetic, and diamagnetic materials, such as rare earth permanent magnetic materials, Ferrite materials, amorphous materials, superconducting materials, etc. It can complete the measurement of hysteresis loops, initial magnetization curves, demagnetization curves, temperature characteristic curves, etc.
TG
TGA determine the thermal and oxidative stability of materials under different atmospheres, analyze the physical and chemical processes such as decomposition, adsorption, desorption, oxidation, reduction, etc., quantitatively calculate the composition of substances, and determine the content of moisture, volatile components and various additives and fillers.
Product Property Testing
This is Hirano’s 3D Magnetic field waveform tester. The magnet’s magnetic flux density distribution can be measured by rotary device while the magnetic performance is analyzed. This device is used to test the surface gauss value.
- They are both tested under room temperature.
- Universal testing machine is used for testing the tensile and fledxural strength of material. Sometime it is used for testing the compressive strength of the magnets.
- Izod impact property is tested through this machine.
The Karl Fischer moisture analyzer uses the principle of the Karl Fischer Coulomb method (electricity method) to quickly measure trace moisture in samples. The measured moisture can be as low as 0.001ppm. It can quickly measure trace moisture in solids, liquids, and powders and is widely used in the chemical, petroleum, pharmaceutical, electric power, food, scientific research, testing and other industries.
Product Durability Testing
Salt Spray Test
This equipment is used for salt spray tests, salt spray environment formed by spraying a certain concentration of salt water to test the corrosion resistance of the materials or products. We know that the corrosion resistance of NdFeB is poor, making it difficult to pass the 24-hour salt spray test. On the other hand, SmFeN performs better. By applying anti-corrosion treatment to the powder, the resistance can be extended to around 48 hours. And for Ferrite compound, as it is oxide , which will not be corroded, there’s no need to do this test.
High Temperature and High Humidity Test
The high and low temperature alternating humidity test chamber is a test equipment used to simulate different environmental conditions. It can simulate extreme temperature and humidity environments in a short time to test the performance of various materials and products.
High and Low Temperature Shock
The left one is temperature shock tester, It has two chambers, one is with temperature and the other is with low temperature, in which products are switched instantaneously.
The right one is high and low temperature circulation tester, there’s only one chamber where the temperature changes gradually.
When we develop new material we will do the temperature test, through the process of temperature change to check whether the product has demagnetization, cracking and other conditions. It’s kind of a life test.
The highest temperature of the equipment can reach 150℃ and the lowest temperature can reach -40℃. Most tests are done at high and low temperatures ranging from -20 degrees to 120 degrees.
If it’s a high temperature test, we’ll use this oven (the one at the door).
