Magnet Application in Daily Use

Magnetic Ring for Lipstick Tube

The traditional connecting way is by threading or mechanical buckle, like the connection between lipstick caps and tubes, and the attachment of nozzles to hair dryers. However, magnetic attraction introduces a fresh user experience to products, enhancing comfort and convenience. Achieving magnetic attraction involves using adhesive magnets, and it is recommend to use bonded NdFeB compound and SmFeN compound. In our lipstick tube project, we opt for injection-molded NdFeB/PA12 or injection-molded SmFeN/PA12 for their precise dimensions and easy installation. Lipstick tubes are made from injection-molded soft magnetic materials, which work in tandem with ring magnet inside the lipstick caps to create magnetic attraction. The nozzles of hair dryers are injection-molded with inserted ring magnets. We’ve redesigned the conventional ring shape to a conical ring and adjusted the magnetic pole orientation from axial bipolar to single-sided multipolar, enhancing the magnetic force on the desired attraction surface. To address potential demagnetization caused by increased nozzle temperatures during hair drying, we’ve optimized materials to improve their high-temperature resistance. We’re committed to developing more magnetic attraction applications to further enhance the comfort and convenience of surrounding products.

Brushless DC Motor

Brushless DC Motor

The rotor of the brushless DC motor used in electric curtains poses a challenge in achieving a slim design with a height of 90mm and axial eight poles using sintered magnets. Injection-molded magnets can mitigate the issue of oversizing and provide sufficient torque for the motor. The recommended compound is the Ferrite/PA12 series, capable of producing a surface magnetic field strength of up to 1700Gs. Utilizing insert molding with a bonded Ferrite compound proves to be cost-effective for manufacturing the rotor. With our company’s extensive experience in mold design and compound properties, we understand the advantages of injection-molded magnets in creating slim motor designs, which will play a crucial role in the field of home automation.

Induction Ring for Light and Temperature Adjustment

Induction rings are commonly utilized for temperature or light brightness adjustment, often found in coffee tumblers, baby bottles for temperature regulation, and light dimming applications. These magnets typically feature more than 20 poles, allowing for precise adjustments. The magnet’s wall thickness must be kept within 2mm to ensure control over the overall size of the knob and lid. The recommended compounds for making these induction rings are Ferrite/PA12 and NdFeB/PPS. The PA12 series is suitable for use in environments with temperatures below 120℃, while the PPS series can withstand higher temperatures. Drawing from our extensive experience, we excel in enhancing the fluidity and mechanical toughness of materials, mitigating issues stemming from thin magnet walls.

Induction Ring in Electric Bicycles

Induction rings can serve as effective speed sensors or inductive components in electric bicycles. Subsequent parts such as gears can be molded using injection molding. The recommended compound for these applications is the PA6/PA12 Ferrite series. However, for applications demanding higher magnetic properties, it’s advisable to opt for rare earth series compounds. Injection molding offers the flexibility to shape induction rings into various structures. Utilizing injection magnets ensures the reliability of intelligent machinery control and enhances the safety of electric bicycles. We are prepared to recommend suitable grades based on our customers’ specific requirements.
